What Is Unicity OmegaLife-3 Resolv? A Plain-Language Look at the Fish Oil Label

Disclaimer: This post shares product label information and public sources. It is not medical advice. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Individual results vary.

What is OmegaLife-3 Resolv?

OmegaLife-3 Resolv is Unicity’s fish oil softgel. It comes in a bottle of 120 softgels and is sold in Canada as a licensed natural health product (NPN 80088355, licensed to Unicity Canada Ltd. in Health Canada’s database).

My own daily routine is the Feel Great system: Unimate and Balance. OmegaLife-3 Resolv is a separate product, so this post is a plain label-first look: what is in each softgel, what it costs per day, what public sources say about omega-3s in general, and what to check before you buy. I will not talk about results.

What the Canadian label says

From the Canadian supplement facts panel on Unicity’s product page (checked November 3, 2026):

Medicinal ingredient Per softgel Per 2-softgel serving
Total fish oil (Clupeidae, Engraulidae and Scombridae; whole) 537.5 mg 1,075 mg
EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) 250 mg 500 mg
DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) 125 mg 250 mg
Vitamin E (dl-alpha tocopheryl acetate) 17 mg AT 34 mg AT
  • Non-medicinal ingredients: beeswax, wintergreen oil, lecithin, L-arginine, rosemary leaf extract, sunflower oil, mixed tocopherol concentrate, ascorbyl palmitate, gelatin, glycerin and purified water.
  • Contains: fish and soy.
  • Directions: adults, take 2 softgels per day with food.
  • Bottle size: 120 softgels, which is 60 two-softgel servings.

A simple math note: using the label’s own numbers, one serving gives 750 mg of EPA and DHA combined, with about twice as much EPA as DHA. The product description talks about 1,000 mg of omega-3 fatty acids; the label table above lists EPA and DHA only, so if the exact total matters to you, ask Unicity how that number is counted.

Price check

On the Unicity Canada shop at the time of writing, OmegaLife-3 Resolv is listed at CA$74.00, either as a one-time purchase or as a monthly subscription. With 60 servings per bottle, that works out to about CA$1.23 per day. Prices can change, so check the current price before you order.

What public sources say about omega-3s in general

EPA and DHA come mainly from seafood

The U.S. National Institutes of Health Office of Dietary Supplements (ODS) explains that the three main omega-3s are ALA, EPA and DHA. ALA comes mainly from plant oils, while EPA and DHA are found in fish and other seafood. The body can turn only very small amounts of ALA into EPA and DHA. ODS also notes that recommended amounts for EPA and DHA have not been established (NIH ODS).

The omega-6 to omega-3 ratio

The product page talks about the balance between omega-6 and omega-3 in the diet. That idea is often linked to a 2002 review by Artemis Simopoulos, which estimated that Western diets have an omega-6 to omega-3 ratio of about 15:1 to 16.7:1, compared with a ratio of about 1:1 in the diet humans evolved on (Simopoulos, 2002; DOI 10.1016/S0753-3322(02)00253-6). The review is often cited, and it is one researcher’s view, so it is best read as background.

How much is too much?

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) reviewed the safety of EPA and DHA in 2012. It found the data were not enough to set a formal upper limit, and it concluded that supplemental intakes of EPA and DHA combined up to 5 g per day do not raise safety concerns for adults (EFSA NDA Panel, 2012; DOI 10.2903/j.efsa.2012.2815). ODS similarly mentions the U.S. FDA advice of no more than 5 g per day of EPA and DHA combined from supplements. At 750 mg per serving, the label amount is well under that level.

Things to check before you buy

  • Allergies: the label says it contains fish and soy, and the softgel uses gelatin and beeswax.
  • Medications: ODS notes that high doses of omega-3s may interact with blood thinners such as warfarin. If you take any medication, are pregnant or nursing, or have a health condition, talk with your doctor or pharmacist first.
  • Possible mild side effects: ODS lists things like an unpleasant taste, bad breath, heartburn, nausea and stomach discomfort as usually mild side effects of omega-3 supplements. The label says to take it with food.
  • Food first: ODS lists fatty fish such as salmon, mackerel, herring and sardines as food sources of EPA and DHA.
  • Read your local label: labels and formulas can differ by country, so check the bottle you receive.

Bottom line

OmegaLife-3 Resolv is a straightforward fish oil: per two-softgel serving, the Canadian label lists 1,075 mg of fish oil with 500 mg EPA, 250 mg DHA and 34 mg AT of vitamin E, at about CA$1.23 per day.
